Anyone stayed here while in Tucson?

Website looked pretty interesting & when I plan to visit kids in fall, I thought it might be a nice historical place to lay my head at....

Any other lodging impressions would be welcome..I plan to come in fall/September/October....for a week....

My family is in the Oro Valley. Suggestions?

Hotel Congress is very art deco. The cafe is wonderful!

I've been to several concerts in it's small venue on the main floor. I'm asthmatic, so when it's smokey that's a big problem for me - and being that it's an older building the ventilation is not all it could be - but that is the only negative I have to offer. The staff is helpful and friendly. I feel safe there, and bring my family. It's a very artsy, eclectic part of town, so all sorts of people are mingling.

The hotel can probably be kinda noisy on special event nights at their concert venue - but you can certainly ask the staff about what's coming up, if noise is an issue for you, as it can also be the most relaxing place in town. I love to sit in the Cup Cafe on a Saturday morning - wonderful.

It's about a 20 minute drive from Oro Valley, going up Stone to River to Oracle Road and continue north - Stay away from I-10 if you can, because there's significant construction slowing traffic considerably right now and we're told it'll be going on for more than a year.
