I visited Tucson this past weekend. On the way to my destination, there were desert plants everywhere and a dramatic mountain view. Driving through the foothills I achieved a better view of Tucson then I would have Phoenix. The people that drove in Tucson were more polite, patient, unless they were the many there from California. I walk outside and all i hear is wind. My ear made that high pitch noise ears make when there is no white noise in the air.

Unlike Phoenix, which is full of remote mountain views in bad areas of the city, pavement everywhere, and the overuse of palm trees. Too many plants that are not Arizona native and wasting thousands of gallons on these trees daily to keep them alive in the desert climate. Rude people that would enjoy running anyone over, making fun of homeless, and a rat race that seems to never end. Phoenix is not the worst city in the United States, New York City, so stop trying to make into that horrible city.

I wish one day I can move back to Tucson. My father, a Tucson native, is sure trying. I'm trying to make him stay where he is because its better farming land then Tucson.

And that's my story boys and girls.

Hey, the ol' Pueblo ain't goin' anywhere! Some moves are not that feasible no matter how much one might want them, but this one IS IMO.

I'm with you on this one, W1ngzer0 . . .

Prior to relocating here about 12 years ago, I "shopped" around from Montana to Florida and many points in between . . . so far, still very happy I chose Tucson. Not perfect but definitely head and shoulders above the number two spot.

Eh, I'm not a rocket scientist, either, and make it somehow.

What Bummer said.

Good luck making your way back, w1ngzer. It's worth it when you find the place you want to be.

It is. I enjoyed Tucson even when i was dirt poor. Dirt poor to me is $600 a month.

I use to think Sacramento is where i'd spend the rest of my days. Though it is a nice area, i have no family roots or enjoy the housing cost out there.

When i say educated, I mean a degree or skill. I have neither beyond answering the phone.

I think that upper San Juaquin Valley is pretty nice too. Especially, the closer you get to the Sierras. The eastern burbs of Sacramento would be pretty nice.
