Does anyone know where we can donate our computer? We have new ones and would like to donate the old one. We've reformatted the hard drive, etc. Looking for church, school, or some organization that handles donated computers.

The only private business location I know of is Suburban Miners over at Speedway and Alvernon. Suburban Miners - Tucson computer and electronic (e-waste) recycling. http://www.suburbanminers.com

I believe they have a free pickup service too.

You can donate it to my classroom! I teach 5th grade on the SW side of town. We have 3 crappy computers in our room that barely work and no computer lab. My students would love another computer to use!

No clue or help with your question, Jack, but . . . very generous gesture.

That's who i'd recommend...I've worked with them...they will take it off your hands quickly and give u a reciept right there on the spot for your taxes. I've never seen anyone have to pay for recycling...and they've had people bring semi trucks full of junk that went straight to the bins. They are good people there. They will fix the computer up and give it to a student or family who otherwise can't afford one. Just bring it around to the side of the building.
