This is Arizona... not some eastern metroplex. To get from point to point requires covering long distances. Buy a car... Better yet a pick-up truck 'cause 'cars' are near worthless outside of the cities.

I live a couple 5 miles or so miles west of the Desert Museum area... My property is a little oasis that became a 'zoo'. 'Sittin' outside on the patio one morning last week... a Golden Eagle flew by... 'bout eye level 'n 3' from my nose. (Under my 60' patio roof!)

I can't argue with the buying a vehicle point!

That must have been quite an experience to see an eagle do that!?

I tried to rep you for your post but it says I must spread it around...

There is a 1985 Chrysler New Yorker on craigslist for 500 bucks. States that it runs fine.

Perfect for living here temporarily!

Mmm, I wouldn't get in a $500 car myself.

You obviously don't know a good deal when you see one!

I'm gonna sell either the Brooklyn Bridge, or the Golden Gate Bridge... on either eBay, or Craigslist... and see if I get a bite...

They both work just fine...

They usually don't fly that close... but the young ones (juveniles) often rest under my car port for shade. The local Great Horned Owl often makes a pass by my head when I close the gates at night. I just see the shadow... totally silent. I figure it's about a 5' wingspan.

Amazing, .45!

How many people can say they see even ONE of those in the same day? You have so much to be thankful for! You are living an incredible life here in the desert!
