Forgive me if this has been asked before. I did a search and didn't find anything.

I am recently retired on disability and want to move to Tucson for the warm (hot LOL) weather and low humidity.

Are there any over 55 apartment complexes I would be able to afford in good neighborhoods for $500? I don't seem to be able to be finding them.

I have looked online at rent.com and others and found a few apartment complexes that sound good. I have checked most of the apartments I find with apartment ratings .com

the Foothills on N Swan Rd, Sundown on N Oracle, Canyon Creek at 160 N Pantano, Woodridge at 8225 E Speedway. My faves so far are the Woodridge and the Foothills. Am I on the right track?

Thanks you for any input you have, even negative is good LOL

Interesting request, Bellapk.

I recently noticed a "One Bedroom for $499" sign at a complex on Ina just West of the Foothills Mall. Very convenient location in what I would consider about as safe neighborhood as possible. Also, a similar sign at a complex on Oracle and Orange Grove.

Bottom line . . . 500 Bucks for a One Bedroom in a decent neighborhood should not be a problem.

Good Luck

Default ok! TY

Thank you for your input. I appreciate it. I will not be moving to Tucson until Sept or Oct. First I need to visit and see the apartments for myself.

From what I see, there will still be plenty of apartments available unless the college students take them? I hope that isn't the case.
