Could make a go of it in the Tucson area, we do ornate plaster work to basic repairs. I have been in business here in Michigan for the past 22 years and with our economy in a down turn I was just wondering if our services could be usefull to your area. I would like to move to an area where we could set up and do business. Would it be worth moving for the line of work I do? Thanks

Funny, your situation parallels mine- I'm a drywall contractor in SE MI looking to relocate in Phoenix. It reminds me of the late '70's/early 80's with everyone in MI going to Texas. I do know that AZ requires a license, my brother found an outfit down there that teaches the license course, administers the test, and applies for the license- 1-stop shopping! I don't know about Tuscon, but there's still alot of work happening in Phoenix.

My ex has a niece out in Phoenix and I talked with(niece) her, She was telling me that her boyfriends uncle has a painting company out there and she was going to check with him to see if they could use me to work commerical jobs with them. I haven't heard back from her yet but work here is still coming in small jobs but still it's work. I know allot of guys that are lossing everything.
How long you been in business? I was looking at Texas cause the cost of living is cheap down there, Plus the housing is twice what you get up here for the money.
