Does Tucson (in or out of metro area) have a problem with roof rats like Phoenix does? I'm wondering as I'm considering a move to either place. If so, what areas have them? Thanks

Roof rats have been found in Tucson as well though they are not as much of a problem as in Arcadia area of Phoenix. Google it.

They are found mostly in the southeast US in coastal areas and in coastal CA. They are not native to AZ. Probably hitched a ride in a moving van.

Default Roof Rats in Tucson???

I believe I have them... I keep hearing gnawing and crunching in the roof of my apartment... the landlord thinks I am crazy because they have never heard of roof rats and dont think they are possible... I would be in the western part of Tucson near the Catalina Foothills.....

Hopefully the landlord will trap them soon..

Could be any kind of rodent. Put a glue board up there and see what gets stuck to it.
