Woohoo!

The winds here were so strong for a time that they were making a Chevy Avalanche in the parking lot sway back and forth, so much so that it looked like the wheels might leave the ground. Fricken insanity!

are there ever tornadoes here? might be a dumb question, i dont know... we have so many where i'm from, once the wind starts blowing that hard, people start "seeking shelter", haha.. (& not just the ones in trailer parks!)

I guess anything is possible but I've never seen a tornado in all my years here, Spaghetti.

This "flash storm" is about as bad as it gets! Kinda cool, isn't it?

Check this out:
Arizona Tornadoes

Lists all recorded Tornadoes in Arizona, by county, from 1880 to 2000.

If you look at the death and injury columns, you'll see very low numbers (one death is all I saw in a quick scan).

In all my life here, I've seen some funnel clouds (two or three) but they have never touched the ground.

Up here in OV we got nothin'. A little breeze, a sprinkle or two, and that's it. Nothin' at all. I feel gyped. Send some rain up here to the north!
