I don't live in any of those, but to tell me that an area bordering Oracle in this stretch is great is a bit over the top.

Tucson Mall is better than the "El Convict" Mall.

Care to explain that? Are you talking about the mall specifically? Or the surrounding area?

El Con is surrounded by affluent neighborhood and a huge park. The only reason El Con mall itself is derelict is the owner(s) is/are stupid.

They make it extremely difficult for new business to move in. One shining example is the In n Out burger, they broke ground for it, and the lot then sat there for a year, or more, before construction resumed - I'm told because the owner did not want the traffic jam. Uh hello? Traffic=people=money=spent in your clients stores=paycheck for you.

Here I go derailing again.

I never said it was bad. I'm just saying it's not exactly the top choice Bummer makes it out to be. It's simply a matter of attitude. Some people proclaim anything they own or any choice they make to be the best, whether it really is or not. We have such folks in Oro Valley and in Sahuarita. I'm sure all forums have them as well. It just gets old after a while.

Are you buying the house or just renting?

If it's the latter, think of it this way: Anyone can do anything for a year. Then you're free to go anywhere you want and you'll have earned the knowledge of where you want to be in the year you sucked it up and managed in the first place.

Besides, Tucson is SOOOOOO much better than NC. Hands down. Even if it's the pits, you'll be glad to be out of that swampy mess of a state.
