I'd like to know how things are going in Tucson economically. Is it as bad as I read in the news? My husband is just graduating as a Medical Assistant (he also has a BS) and we are looking to relocate, but am not sure Tucson is doing well.
I'd appreciate any information.
THANKS!

Well, while the employment situation is obviously not rosy, the medical field has always been and still is one of the most promising.

As Sierra mentioned, Medical Field is always pretty good in Tucson.
UMC was recently named one of the Top Ten in the country.

and TMC has a lot of new programs slated for the future.
In a down economy, probably one of the better fields to be in.

Medical assistants can almost always find work in Tucson. Check out the hospitals, long-term care facilities and home health agencies. There are several to choose from. If he goes with an agency or long-term care facility, tell him to shop around for one that's offering the Baylor Plan. That will allow him to work two 12's on the weekend and get paid for 36hours. It's a pretty good deal.
