After 4 LONG years my wife and i (fanboy and fangal') are moving back to the Tucson area! We left the northwest/Oro Valley area so my wife could go to grad school here in the midwest. She starts her final clinical field work in june, and we hope to be back sometime in may. Just thought i'd drop in and say hello!

Welcome back! Oro Valley is still as beautiful as ever. Lots of additional shopping now and some new restaurants. I find I rarely need to go to the Tucson Mall area anymore. Congrats on wife's grad school work!

Thanks Rick! We've actually been back three times in the last year and it was really nice to see the new marketplace at tangerine and oracle, and that Oro Valley was very indeed as beautiful as ever. It was a tough decision to leave, but my wife REALLY wanted this particular degree. So, 1 year from now i can start loafing "desert style!"

I understand. My wife is just finishing her Masters this next week! Luckily we were able to stay here while she completed it. What degree and where in the Midwest are you? I am originally from Midwest also. Hey, on the bright side of being gone, houses cost about half as much as when you left!

Rick, congrats to your wife on her degree. My wife's degree will be in occupational therapy. As for the housing situation, definitely a huge opportunity for us! Our last trip was spent looking at about 20 different places!
