Hi.

Just moved to Tucson from the UK. Will be working here for 3 months so would really appreciate recommendations as to what to do/see and where to go.

I'm 23 and into music, movies, clubbing etc. Would appreciate any and all suggestions. Particularly keen on absorbing as much local culture as possible as this is my first visit to the States, let alone Tucson.

Thanks,

English Alien.

Go down to Nogales, Mexico -just one hour away. Lots of interesting things to see, beware of the "great DEELS!" from the vendors!

Nogales is fine, but there's a lot of great places and things to do in Tucson too!

Go to www.associatedcontent.com and type "tucson" into their search.
You'll see lots of great ideas on places to go and things to see/do!

Welcome to Tucson! Now go have some fun!
Oh - And you gotta go to Club Congress, downtown inside the old Hotel Congress! Great authentically art-deco era furnishings, and an all-around fun place for the early 20's crowd.

There are a lot of bars, restaurants and coffee shops on University Blvd. by the U of A. You'll run into a lot of people close to your age. If you like hiking, Sabino Canyon on the northeast side of town is great. The visittucson org website lists a lot of things to do and places to see.

If you like music then check out Calexico. They are a national band but they are based in Tucson. Go to the Hotel Congress.

I love this band. They're playing a hometown show at the Rialto on Saturday.

If you do go to Mexico, please make sure you take a passport. The new law goes into effect Jan. You may not be allowed back in to the USA.
