Hello everyone! I'm from another state,a transplant like alot of people I've talked 2. I think it's great 2 know people from different places cuz U can learn so much. I've lived here in Three Points 4 almost 4 yrs. I love the desert and the history of the state. What has me sad is that now I feel as if I'm a prisoner in my house due 2 my neighbors actions. When I first arrived here she only had 1 dog...now she has 8. They were coming into my yard, I tried talking 2 her, to no avail...so I spent over $3000 for a fence. That worked until she threw one of her dogs over & I had 2 call the Sheriff. It's gotten worse from that point on. Now she's throwing CO2 bombs into my yard at all hours and she's stalking my house. The law enforcement people won't do anything. It's not against the law 2 walk in front of my house 8 times. So, can anyone out there help me? I'd sure appreciate any advice.

thats what you get for moving to 3-points, lol...

but seriously. Its a hard situation to be in. They probably have nothing to lose and you have everything to lose. Video tape these actions maybe? Or call animal control whenever you see dogs in your yard. Im sure the pound will be better than your neighbors place from the way it sounds. You could even play the "their dog attacked me (or my kids??) card".

Hey Polo708, thanx 4 your reply...the thing is that I have no kids, & oddly enough her dog did attack me last yr. & we went 2 court over it, all she got was 1 yr. probation & a small fine with a no contact order. I'ver tried 2 camcord her antics but she does most of it at nite. I did record her dogs being loose, but no one from the pound has shown up yet, I guess I have 2 call again. It's my misfortune 2 have moved next 2 her. I should have seen something bad coming when just before closing of the property I witnessed her stealing water from a rear faucet. Not 2 mention she took all the light bulbs from the buildings outside before I moved in. Boy was I dumb..LOL! Then she moves in some guy & they start making meth. Other than that this area isn't bad. I'm going 2 try & keep in mind that 1 bad apple doesn't always spoil the rest of the bunch I just never thought I would discover that if a sheriff comes 2 your door out here that U don't have 2 come out cause they can't go thru a locked gate without you being there, where I come from they just break the door down. Am I the only person out here that moved next 2 a person who should be living out in the boon-docks away from everyone else? LOL!

Hiya JillBoJill, Three Points is located about 22 miles from Tucson city limits. If U were 2 go 2 the library on Mission and make a right on Ajo & just go straight when U got 2 Ryan's Airfield that's the Three Points area. Hope that gives U some idea. :}

yogi2....

first, just wondering if you can use "to" instead of "2" when writing!!....hard to read it that way....(I know it's a texting thing)

yeah, neighbor troubles can be a pain....constant worries always next door, 24/7....glad to hear you like it out there, otherwise.....have you chatted with other neighbors about them?.....is there concern with them?....don't stir up trouble, but see if you can get the pulse of the entire area about these problem resident(s).....

I hope it eventually works out....I bet it does, suddenly, one day....

Do you have proof that they are making meth? Holy smokes!

I have heard that can blow them and any nearby neighbors sky high! You may have better luck getting drug enforcement out there if they are really doing, not only is it illegal, it is seriously dangerous. Maybe I watch too much cable TV?

I read of a renter here in NC blowing up the whole house. Bad news for the owners too... Is the person a renter?

And about the dogs - aren't there any limits as to how many pets someone can own?

Hiya brooks2007... the only proof I have as of right now is that before I moved in she got arrested with some other people who were making meth in another house not far from here...all the traffic that comes next door, people pulling up to her gate running in her house and coming right back out at all times of the day. Not to mention when the weather starts getting warmer she'll be making it with her windows open, I have an evap cooler and when she does make it the smell is pulled into my house. I plan this year on calling when the smell gets really bad and perhaps the deputies may do something. But keep in mind that in this area if you don't come out they won't do anything, that's been my experience so far. And she owns her house. The folks she got arrested with a while back were renting and I understand that they held that homeowner somewhat responsible but he claimed that he had no knowledge of it which I'm sure he didn't because he lived in another place. Another thing I'm concerned about is that there is a 9 month old baby and a 10 yr. old boy in the house, but no one is listening when I try to explain this situation. As far as the dogs, this is a rural area next to state land. I guess if you choose you can have a hundred dogs. But most people here only have a couple, she's told people that she has that many dogs so that if anyone comes in her yard they'll attack the cops and anyone else to give her a chance to leave since a person can't fend off 8. I've even recorded all the feces in her yard that she never picks up and showed it to animal control, no action from that either. I guess something really bad has to happen before any actions against her are taken by the authorities.

Really - Wow, you have some neighbor there!

# 1 comment is: You are certainly right to worry about those kids... what a terrible environment for them! If they are cooking up meth, and you are pretty certain of it you might consider contacting child welfare services. They HAVE TO investigate. And I think they may make random checks.

Sad - saw ANOTHER cable TV show and a baby was taken to the hospital, later died - turned out he had absorbed drugs from crawling around the floor at a meth house. Maybe it was CSI?

Yes, when I can't sleep I watch TV, what can I say?

Some authority HAS GOT to take responsibility. The dogs issue is way lower than the kids issue in the big picture though the dogs are probably way more annoying. IF you can get child services out there all of your problems could be solved. Child Services would not like a 9 month old babay living amid dog feces.

I would imagine if you document it with dated letters making copies and get delivery receipts from the post office, the local authorities may feel like they should follow up on it so they don't get in trouble for NOT following up on it later when something bad does happen. If you have letters showing you warned them, at least something happens to you it is documented.

I am surprised that the cops or animal control won't do anything about that issue. If the neighbor is a renter I am sure the owner would like to know that illegal activities are going on.

Do you watch HGTV Holmes on Homes? They did a huge HAZMAT house makeover after a renter was growing pot in the house and the humidity casued mold to grow behind all of the walls. The damage that was done to that house was amazing - not as bad as a meth explosion, but I would wish for neither!

Sorry you got stuck with the neighbor from H-E-double hockey sticks... keep up the videography - the tapes may come in handy if you can show all the quick trips in and out. Be careful though!
