I just want to hear what others have to say about this. We have not moved to Tucson yet. 2 more weeks. I plan on joining some social groups on meetup.com but am a little uncomfortable about meeting swingers as my husband and I are not.

Hi Linda, sounds like things are moving forward for you guys, congratulations! I am in several of the "meetup" groups. One for "pug" owners that meets at Reid Park and private homes and a couple of investment groups. I know others that are in a photography meetup group etc. All are what they represent themselves to be, a social group for people with like interest. I don't think you need to worry about the meetup.com groups having hidden agena's. That certainly has not been my experience.

Yeah, the meetups and meetins are fine. Most of the people I've met through them are pretty laid back and are just looking for something to do other than going bar-hopping. I think the swinging types have other outlets that are pretty unmistakably swinging.

I did not say there was anything wrong with it. I just am not into it and was not sure if joing a meetup group could also be a swingers group without me knowing up front.

That has also been my experience with the two Meet-up Groups I attended.

Then there is the overwhelmed moderator swingin' from the ceiling fan...not for the general public for sure ... I checked on a couple of groups in Casa Grande, not sure about Tucson, but they meet in public places a lot of the time...and just because you sign up, does not mean you have to go or participate in a particular function.
