Can someone recommend a great restaurant for catfish in NE Oklahoma? I use to go to a place in Owasso, it shutdown and moved to Claremore, then it shut down, both were excellent. Weird how I can't seem to find a really good catfish place any more. White River is pretty good, but I always get something else when I go there.

I heard there was a pretty good place south of Wal mart in Wagoner on 69. Really angered me that Paulines is gone. I quit going to the Cherokee Casino....well, between that and the horrendous noise they play in the background there............

I'd give Wanda J's in BA a shot. Never had their catfish but everything else I've had there has been great.

I hear Wanda J's is great for fried chicken. I wish it was closer and I'm going to get out there soon!

Billy Ray's BBQ at 91st and Elm in BA has an all-you-can-eat catfish deal for $11.99. The catfish is pretty good - the BBQ sucks. Before any of you hit me up about the BBQ comment, they do not seem to do things the same a Billy Ray' original location.

Back to the catfish - they fry it just right - many people overcook and create a breading that i too hard.

There is a place that a bunch of the guys I work with eat all the time. Its called Sweet Lisa's. I believe they serve soul food. Never had it but the guys here at the office say the catfish is really good.
