So I grew up in Stillwater and spent my teen years going back and forth between OKC and Tulsa. As a kid, it seemed like Tulsa was the much more upscale town. I always thought it had a completely different feel than OKC. However in the last 10-15 years OKC has come a long ways. That being said, I'm not trying to compare the two cities. That been done enough. I'm just curious, what has Tulsa done in the last 5 years to improve the city, and what are the future plans? In what direction do you see Tulsa moving? What is Tulsa doing to compete with other regional cities, such as OKC, Wichita, Kansas City, St Louis and Dallas? What is Tulsa's identity and what does it want to become?

Have you been in the BOK Center in Tulsa for a concert? It's nicer than the Chesapeake Center in OKC, formerly the Ford Center. I liked going back and forth between Tulsa and OKC when younger. But preferred living in Stillwater, got a government job and always stayed there.

I've seen the bok but not been there. Very nice looking bldg, especially at night. The bok center and sprint center in kc are my favorite arenas. By the lack of responses I guess that means not a lot is going on in rules.

Now I live in Wichita and they put a couple of them in about a year or so ago. They aren't bad. I don't quite understand why I see so many threads on city data about cities that get a five guys. It's not that great, just a bag of burgers filled with french fries. Anyways, congrats Tulsa.

I hope you can see I was being sarcastic...LOL I ate at the one in Wichita earlier this year and was not impressed so I ate at the one in Allentown, PA last night and still not blown away. Not bad but does not meet the hype.

No, it just might mean the questions are a bit vague and a touch nonsensical. Like these two "What is Tulsa doing to compete with other regional cities, such as OKC, Wichita, Kansas City, St Louis and Dallas? What is Tulsa's identity and what does it want to become?"

Why does Tulsa need to compete with other regional cities? Chances are Dallas, St Louis, and KC are not competitive cities. They are larger, have more money, and have more selections. They also have more really nice places and more really bad places. If Tulsa were closer Tulsa would be a suburb to any of them. You really think people in Tulsa stay up at night trying to think of ways to be competitive with those cities?

While both Wichita and OKC are more similar in size, I doubt anyone says we need to do something because OKC did it.

What makes you think Tulsa is trying to "become" something. Tulsa is already something.......and its a pretty good something. If I wanted to live in Wichita, OKC, KS, St Louis, or Dallas I would be there. I don't so I'm not.
