Ok I am moving from Fargo, ND to 3300 (block) East Haskell Street, in Tulsa. How is this area? I haven't been to Tulsa yet and I have found a place to live. I am just scared that this is a the bad part of town? How are the people in this area?? Any advice and opinions would be awesome!

Thanks

It isn't the best part of town, but it isn't bad either. I actually like it. Lying south of Independence and east of Harvard is a good thing. I'm not sure which schools service that area, but all are part of the Tulsa Public School system. There are several private Christian schools in the area as well. It puts you close to the expressway for easy access to shopping and employment. It is close to the University of Tulsa.

In that subdivision, there are currently three houses listed for sale averaging $61,000 for a 1,027 3 bedroom 1 1/2 bath house with a 1 car garage. there are six houses that sold in the past six months ranging in price from $46,000 to $80,000 and they have been on the market an average of 19 days. Ages of the houses range from 80 years old to 40 years old.

The average number of days on the market for the listed houses is 54 days. Everything indicates this a solid market and I would imagine there are a large number of investor houses.

I think you will like the area.....it is predominately blue collar working class people. It is close to the airport, there is a Junior College near by, and, like I said, there is easy access to the expressway making getting to work or to shopping easy. If you have any specific questions, DM me and I will get you all the information I can.
