We found the neatest neighborhood up on the hill near 81st and Harvard (unofficially called Golf Ball Hill) and are considering purchasing a home up there. The neighborhood is built in the woods and has some surprising (and very cool) architecture and incredible views of Tulsa! Just wondering if anyone is familiar with that particular neighborhood and if it would be wise investment as far as retention of value, crime, etc. Most of the homes appear to have been built in the 80's. A few are rough but most are well kept. Wondering also if the neighborhood is on the incline or decline. The house we're considering is structurally sound, but we're wondering if other homes on the hill were built as well. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

make sure the soil is stable. Several homes there have had foundation problems

In the life cycle of a neighborhood it is probably plateaued. It should remain an attractive viable neighborhood for another 40-50 years.

There was a house in that area, a few years back that was having problems with natural gas leaking into and around the home. Apparently there are some old gas wells in the area. It seem like to me it was in that area, but not 100% sure, you might want to check it out.
