I had read in this post that one person ate at middle eastern restaurants and said that both were terrible, and then someone came on and said that they knew of some good ones. So I wanted to know because I love middle eastern food. My favorite food is Moroccan, but I have not had any in years, and I doubt if they have any in Tulsa. When living in CA it was way to expensive to even eat at such a place. I love Thai, and I love East Indian.

thanks for telling me where they were.

I may be taking my sister and niece to Tulsa in a couple of weeks. I want to go to Jenks because of the antique stores and then to RiverCrossing, hoping it is a fun place. And if we have time I would like to see the museum in Tulsa and eat somewhere.

at least a search of this forum didn't reveal the answer in this thread, so I'll post it... and anyway, it never hurts to have a second opinion....

The best hole-in-the-wall restaurant in Tulsa is The Great Wall at 71st & Yale.

They have lunch specials available 6 days a week (yes, Saturday too), and while you may have heard good things about their Mongolian BBQ, the best thing on their menu is actually their fried rice. In fact, a friend of mine took his father (who lives in Hong Kong) and stepmother (who is from Hong Kong and obviously still lives there) to the restaurant, and they said the fried rice is better even than anything they had in China.

As for the main dishes, the chicken seems to be all white meat, and the breading is always very crunchy even when covered in a sauce.

I just can't say enough for this place...

I'll have to give that place a try if and when I ever get to Tulsa. It seems these days that I have NO TIME to do anything but work and take care of the house!! What is UP with that?

When I was younger all I did was enjoy life and now it seems like all I do is do STUFF to keep my STUFF!

Maybe I need to try the corporate method and "downsize" or "outsource," or SOMETHING!!!
