Default Not Tulsa County

So glad we're in Pawnee county where the corruption is less visible!

I'm amazed at Tulsa - they'll spend umpteen million dollars to build an arena and ignore the streets, police, and firemen.

The city spends a lot of money on cr_p a city has no business being invovled in: real estate, entertainment venues, museums, and halls of fame. All the while ignoring the things that a city SHOULD be concerned with.

Then they come to the taxpayer and tell you to do your part to help the city!

I'd love to go out, spend all of our household budget on shoes & clothes, then tell hubby to go to his boss and ask for more money because we can't make the house payment!

We have more police officers than any city our size, they recently got multiple pay raises. The tax that built the arena also rehabbed and expanded streets in several areas, not to mention it was a capital improvement tax that built community centers, school and other facilities all over Tulsa County. If we've built a museum or hall of fame, I'm not aware of it.

Keep in mind the streets vote is two parts, the first part doesn't raise taxes and the second part raises property taxes by a almost unnoticeable amount. Less than $5 a month for myself.

You ain't lying. Tulsa Police Department, Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Oklahoma State Troopers are on the prowl. Many people do not think there is enough of them but I beg to differ.
