You'll need to look at the entire city. Personally, I like the area around midtown or the river parks North of 41st street. Jenks is a good area, as well as some areas on the West side of the Arkansas river. Also, you might want to look into Broken Arrow.

There are a whole host of choices out there if you are looking to move to Tulsa.

Good luck!

Creek County or Osage County near Tulsa County. Close enough to enjoy the city of Tulsa, far enough away to avoid the righest tax rate county in the state.

The Traffic Circle area is just fine. Way better than the BA at 5pm.

Somehow I think the poster is saying that just because of where I say I live in my profile.

This is coming from a native Oklahoman now living in the Bay Area. I lived in Tulsa for about 7 years.

Best:
Low cost of living
Easy to get around
Good balance between big-city amenities and small-town feel.

Worst:
Backward attitudes, laws, etc.
No major public university
Increase in crime

I guess campuses of OU, OSU, Rogers University, NSU, and Langston don't count?

Still doesn't have the same positive impact as a stand-alone institution would. Guess there's no way to establish one now, though.
