I secretly saw the new renderings for the baseball stadium.... sshhhhh... I think it will fit into the area quite nicely. They took a lot of peoples advice. Its brick now and not stone to match more of the buildings in the area. But its not your typical "bricktown" type design. Its contemporary with touches of art-deco and stainless steel. And yes, I really really hope the Pearl Distrcit plans go through. They truly will be iconic and enrich our city. The designs are very well thought out on many levels.

Ah, it's good they are in keeping with the art-deco touch. I think Tulsa should embrace that type of architecture throughout because it's a staple of Tulsa architecture, and some of the most beautiful designs that I've ever seen. Thanks for the update. When is the stadium projected to be finished?

The East Village plan featuring a large park is still a possibility, although the library located with it may be tough.

TulsaArtist, is the baseball stadium going to be built with expansion capabilities? Tulsa can't stay Double-A forever.

Good point. I highly doubt there will be any sort of major league team in the city for at least several decades, but the possibility of a Triple-A team within ten years is a distinct possibility.

That 's a very interesting thought Synopsis about the Major League team coming to Tulsa , but MLB is the hardest sport to bring to a town and the hardest to maintain once you get it there......MLB requires 79 to 81 HOME GAMES a year with The Average Attendances Of 20,000 to 40,000 FANS A GAME are you sure that Tulsa Or OKC Would Be Ready For That In 10 to 20 years. The best thing that Tulsa and OKC could do is form a Join Ownership Group and BUILD A 50,000 Seat Staduim On The Turner Toll Road Half Way Between The Two Metro's..That Would Be 30 Miles From Metro OKC and 30 Miless From Metro Tulsa.
