We came from Portland to Tulsa only around 2 months ago. My husband is a fence installer. First we tried Texas, but my husband couldn't find a decent paid job in his field (they offered around 10 bucks an hour) to rent a decent place and a decent life. Anyway, so I said, come on, let's try Oklahoma, so first we went to Oklahoma City, and to Tulsa for a day and in one week he had a job in Tulsa. We both like Tulsa, but one has to get used to the weather though:-) The Okies are very friendly and helpful. Everybody says that the job market is better here than in Oklahoma City, but I can't really say. OKC is bigger than Tulsa, so maybe it will be easier to find a factory job there. Just try both cities, they are only like 90 min. apart by car and see what comes up. Good luck!

For my profession, OkC has a better job market. I can't comment on other industries. I'm a business/technology writer and OkC has far more jobs in my profession than Tulsa. I'd love to live in Tulsa, but as far as my profession goes, it doesn't appear to be an option.
