well, KTUL apparantly is not ready.
I live in an apartment, have issues with Cox, and face north, so a dish is not an option until I move.
I can get all channels except 8 with my rabbit ears and converter box.
just so long as I move or they fix it before Lost returns, other than that, I really never watch ABC shows.

anyone else have the same problem? should I get a better indoor antenna, i suppose I could return it if it doesnt work better.

Get cable TV -Looks like I'm going to have to invest in cable TV. Digital TV appears to be a flop basic cable is only $9.95 a month for the first year then it goes up to the regular rates. The first year you'll have it easy.

We got channel 2, but now we can't get 8. We have enough expenses without adding cable TV.

Default Channel 8

I am a rural resident and cable is not an option. I also get much more interference on channel 8; antenna reception -- 2 tvs, one with converter box, other doesn't need it. TV stations recommend repositioning antenna and frequent reconfiguration of channels received. After I tried these suggestions, I posted a message to the station management at the link on their website, stating I still had such interference that watching their station was not feasable. I prefer programming on channel 8--maybe if more people make them aware of the interference problem they will try to make changes to resolve the problem.

I could have posted that myself! I am anxiously waiting to see if Channel 8 is going to get their act together. I will be so mad if I have to miss Lost! I have not missed even 1 episode. I too like Channel 8's programming over all the others. I guess Fox would have to be second. On the other hand, channel 2 is the best that I get. It doesn't cut out at all. I love their weather channel as well (since they're the only ones that offer it right now).

When I reconfigured in July I lost 6 and 8 as valid stations. I tried reconfiguring several more times during the next few days--different times of day--until I once more had stations I was accustomed to having, including 2, 6, and 8. Since then the interference has been considerably less. ???

Do they have a low transmitter output or something? I was a broadcast engineer for two years at a television station. You should call and talk to the engineering dept.

Has it always been this way? I see they've laid off a lot of people lately, some in the eng. dept. That could have something to do with the quality of their signal. Those transmitters need to be constantly maintained and calibrated. If they lost their transmitter supervisor and replaced him/her with some kid out of college then that would definitely affect their broadcast quality.
