I ran across a little menu from May 1982 from when I worked downtown and ate there. I need my reading glasses to see it now.

I wonder if they would trade a 27 yr old menu for a chicken fried steak dinner? LOL!

Default I have!

I actually met another photographer there for breakfast recently.

This WAS breakfast, but I think if you liked the Buffeteria, you'll be fine with the new place. Not fancy, but good. Not expensive (at all). Great coffee, fast service.

Nice to go to Nelson's again!

I love Nelson's Buffeteria. I used to go there twice a week when I worked downtown.

I just found out Nelson's re-opened a couple of weeks ago! I used to go to the old Boston Ave. location when I was a kid, but moved to California in '86. The old location closed by the time I moved back, but Nelson's Ranch House brings back such great memories with their menu.

In the last two weeks I've been to the new location five times! I live less than a mile from there, so it's easy to stop in anytime I want. I only wish they were open for dinner all week, maybe some day they will be... and I'll be there too

Next time I'm in Tulsa, I am making it a point to go there before any other place. Always wanted to try that place, but never did get to go to the old location. So, I'm glad they're back!

I went there a few weeks ago for lunch. The food was very good, the mash potatoes were home made. For me that is a sign that your really getting a home cooked meal. The food was just like what I used to get when they were downtown. I think I will go there for lunch tomorrow.
