Have you seen the organization that fosters soldier's children while they're deployed? We may consider that down the line. Want to live through the next ten years, first!
Military foster kids would most likely be under the Veteran Administration...........
good luck on sevring those who serve
the interest of the U.S.A. we Veterans....

Sorry about the BIG delay!

I have no idea with the foster/adoption rate is. We never fostered, we knew ourselves too well. Once we got attached, we'd be committed and that is a recipe for disaster. The parents of our kids had already had their rights severed by the state. We were never involved in that process.

And we only looked at kids that were 'available for adoption.' Our adoption worker out of Noble county was exceptional and kept us from looking at every case file. It's mercenary but you HAVE to be. SHE gave us suggestions. That's great because she could see full case files, not just the PR pieces written about the kids. Hate to say, it's like looking at houses: 'fixer upper' means money pit, 'rural charm' means no running water and an outhouse. The same is true in the kid's descriptions.

This is NOT a waste of time. These kids needs homes and families. Some of them will never have one, through no fault of their own. Ours are prime examples.

I hope I've answered your questions, if not let me know!
