Just saw the first episode this evening -- loved it. This guy does just fine without Jeremy Clarkson mouthing off at him all the time.

Is this a side series or is he not on Top Gear anymore?

He's still on Top Gear. James has done several side series, as has Richard Hammond.

I do like James a lot, but I love all 3 of them. I like Clarkson mouthing off at him all the time, it's what makes Top Gear so awesome.

James May Toy Stories was also a really good series.

The interaction between the three of them is what is missing from the American version. Hard to recreate the chemistry.

Agreed. With the American version I actually like 2 out of the 3, but I don't like the one with the heavy east coast accent. He's an idiot.

I think this Road Trip is the old Oz and James wine tour from back in 2006 or so. They did a couple of series together.

Yes it is. I did not know it was from that far back. I just found it on the BBC America section of On Demand digital cable.
