I went out(once!) with a guy that later turned up on Blind Date. I had never seen the show before, was just flipping through the channels, and saw the guy. I called a friend who had met him, and we were thoroughly enjoyed snarking on him while watching. He was hot, but watching his date reminded me why I had declined a second date.
I went to high school with a girl that was on "blind date". It didn't turn out well. I don't think it was outright a horrifically bad date but they didn't work.
That was some good "lowbrow" t.v. That Blind Date.
Loved when In Living Color would spoof it with Jim Carrey...
Oh no that was LOVE CONNECTION....
Remember when the audience would use those high tech boxes to choose the poor twits date??
Was that the one where they put 2 people on a boat? I seem to recall a blind date show where they put the 2 people on a cruise ship.
Domer.. that was Shipmates. It was on for a couple seasons in the early 2ooos.
My favorite episode was one where the girl toyed w/her date the whole segment, throws him in the pool.. and at the end when he shows up @ her room.. she's partying with another dude. She was epic.
Anybody have that episode, or a link to it somewhere (?), PM me please..
What happened to them is that we now have "reality" series where the draw is that two relative strangers are about to actually have sex. Porn without the money scene. And you don't have to pay the actor/host

Blind Date is the most underrated dating show in the world. For some reason it was on only late at night like past 11pm. It was better than that Bachelor crap by a mile.
