Dish TV is coming out with a streaming application for streaming boxes/TV's called 'Sling TV'. Initially with about ten channels such as ESPN/2, HGTV, others. It will be priced at $20 a month, no contract, sign up online w/CC. There may be additional packages such as news, or other sports.

I've posted other detail in the Consumer Electronics forum but wanted to include a heads up here since many posters here might not frequent the 'Electronics' forum.

This will be a new day for TV

I don't think so. It's a lot of money for a few channels. I think it is a niche product designed to sell to people who don't currently have cable, and who have only one screen in their apartment or dorm room which is both television and computer monitor.

Very few people will cancel cable for this product. I think it was designed so that people wouldn't be tempted to do so.
