Not long ago, TV fans searched in vain for their shows online. Now, they often have several sites to choose from.

Episodes of Fox's House, for example, can be bought for $1.99 on Amazon or iTunes or watched free on Fox.com or Hulu.com. Hulu, the newest site, is currently in beta testing and has Fox and NBC episodes with ads. It's similar to Joost.com, which has CBS series, among others.
