I'm not sure if this counts as a favorite character but I love Jessica Lange's character in season 1 and season 2 of American Horror Story. She plays a different character in both seasons but they are both amazing. They are able to make me laugh and frighten me.

American Horror Story: Murder House (Constance Langdon)

American Horror Story: Asylum (Sister Jude)
