What's the best sitcom ever created in your opinion?

Why do I have a feeling if someone posted "greatest white sitcom ever" that people would have a hissy?

Those were all good. Moesha and Sister, Sister were also good.

I voted 227.

"Frank's Place" with Tim Reid. It was only on for one season-never understood why it didn't make it. It was done by the same producer who did "WKRP" and was hilarious.

I'd say "The Jeffersons." I thought The Jeffersons was so much better than "All in the Family," from which it was a spinoff. It wasn't overtly political or entangled in current events of that time, so it's much more fun to watch today. Mother Jefferson was priceless. It was a really good show.

Sanford and Son was also pretty funny at times.

I may be one of the only people on the planet, but I wasn't a great fan of "The Cosby Show." The family was just too perfect, in an unrealistic '80s sort of way. It was more preachy than funny, IMO.

I also wasn't a great fan of "Good Times." It was better at the beginning, but it went off the rails pretty quickly and never got back on, IMO.

That's because prior to "The Jeffersons" (the first sitcom to premier centered around a black family rather than with side characters who were black), EVERY sitcom was a white sitcom.
