Broadchurch
Fargo
Luther
Lonesome Dove
The Jewel in the Crown
Brideshead Revisited
I am currently watching Broadchurch season 1 - its not too exciting since GracePoint is almost identical to it (Gracepoint is the US version).... but I'm still going to watch it.
- did you ever see the show Five Days on HBO? Its got a similar feel to Broadchurch. I liked it.
Fargo- yes, I did like this- is there going to be a second season?
The others you mentioned.... I've never heard of..
Wondering if based on my tastes, folks have any suggestions for TV series I might like
Here are my favorites, ranked in order from highest to lowest:
1. Homeland
2. The Americans
3. True Detective (only one season of that one though)
4. Six Feet Under 5. The Sopranos
6. House of Cards 7. Breaking Bad
8. The Bridge
9. Dexter
10. Fortitude
11. How to Get Away with Murder
12. Gracepoint
13. Big Love
14. Scandal
...or have I watched everything good on TV so far?
If you liked The Sopranos, how about Boardwalk Empire?
Then there's Better Call Saul, which begins six years before the start of Breaking Bad and follows the development of Jimmy McGill (who eventually adopts the working name Saul Goodman) - and Saul isn't the only familiar face you'll see. The premise isn't as spectacular as that of Breaking Bad, but the writing and overall production is every bit as good, and the first season is available now.
Fargo- yes, I did like this- is there going to be a second season?
Yes, its supposed to air sometime in the fall.
