Between "Comcast On Demand" and "Youtube", what exactly is Netflix offering that is so appealing that you are unable to see when you are On Demand and Youtube? I mean if Netflix is that entertaining then maybe I am missing out and should consider getting it. So can someone correct me If I am wrong but I always thought between On Demand and Youtube, you can see the same shows that you see on Netflix.

True or False?

Well, I can tell you why we subscribe to Netflix one or two months a year: Game of Thrones, Outlander, Shameless, Orange is the New Black, Homeland, Nurse Jackie, House of Cards, Masters of Sex, Black Sails, Penny Dreadful, Da Vinci's Demons, The Newsroom, The White Queen, Banshee, Magic City, Power. So for about $40 a year, we catch up on all of the pay service's superior television programming, instead of paying Comcast $30 a month (and Netflix $8 a month) to have access to all those programs listed.

You tube always craps out on me. Constant buffering, terrible searching. Some episodes not others. Maybe when I retire and have to be frugal it will be worth the aggravation.

Everywhere else has better sound and picture quality than you can count on from youtube. Plus all the issues Gisela mentions.

My kid can watch the kids section without me monitoring her too much. You tube is too iffy on content, and we don't care for on demand too much.

Full series (old and new) all at once
Thousands of movies and documentaries (old and new)

Depends on what you want. I like being albe to watch things on a whim like old series from the 70s.

And not that people care too much, but most movies and TV shows on YouTube are violating copyright laws.

Doesn't Comcast On Demand require a Comcast subscription too? That would make it more expensive than the $8-9 I currently pay for Netflix. (Antenna for local tv & Roku for additional content)

Outlander? We have Netflix, but we don't get Outlander. I saw the very first episode, and then...nothing. I need a Starz acct to see it.

Not everyone has On Demand. Not to mention, Netflix is so much easier to use.
