Not really. 99% of the time when they're in the past, they are wearing their NAT outfits. Its easy to tell where they are in time just based on the clothing and some of their hairstyles.

However, the show is, to some extent, deliberately confusing. It is a mystery and the writers' preferred tactic for building up the mystery is revealing details to the viewer in an uncollated, piecemeal manner.

I watched the very first show and never looked at it again. All over the place. No continuity, no real plot, no interest.

Yeah, but they just threw their outfits away when they graduated--now I worry I won't have any way to tell, unless they all get scars or change their hair color back and forth.

I am about to give up on this show because it is so unrealistic--they kept giving these NATs all this responsibility and didn't toss them out on their ears when they intentionally violated rules of safety and national security. The NATS continually show extremely poor judgment and are always trying to solve these huge national crises by themselves instead of going to, I don't know, maybe their teachers? Since they are still basically in school?

I thought the first season was great. This season I found confusing as hell. I like the way they wrapped it up. Hopefully next season will be better!

Since they graduated, I see no reason for part of the story to continue to take place in the past at Quantico.

Quantico is confusing as hell! I just want to be entertained, not working my brain trying to figure out the plot. Same as "Person of Interest." Both complicated with bad writing.
