I remember the issue of Time magazine when they had his photo on the cover, pretty sad. As mentioned, 37 is much too young to pass. I liked the series, really like the actor playing Kiki. I give ANY member of American law enforcement that works with the Mexican govt a lot of credit. The way the series portrayed the local police, I wouldn't trust anyone.

And did the officer in charge of raid take the two million from Felix along with the tapes?

Watched E4 last night. I am having trouble keeping track of the characters. The guy in the suit who sets up the flight to Nicaragua and keeps threatening Felix. Is he a trafficker? A cop of some kind? Part of the Mexican government?

For all his wealth, success and power Felix always looks like he has not had a bowel movement in weeks.

Finished the season. While I know the show is at least loosely based on actual events, and while I ended up enjoying the season (and looking forward to the next), the ending was very disappointing.

The producers of Narcos Mexico say they have enough material for (at least) 4 more seasons. I hope the series is renewed. This season leaves you hanging.......

I'm late to the party, but finished Narcos Mexico. Very good series, was hooked from the first episode. Very sobering to realize that today's extreme violence in Mexico has had a long and sordid history there from all the drugs. Diego Luna was great, but I didn't really like Michael Pena as Kiki.

Now I am into season 2 of Narcos and in some ways I think it's better than Narcos Mexico. I was annoyed that some of the major characters in this series were actually fictional, but it really did a great job of recreating history from those days. One thing I thought interesting was that the guy that played Pablo, Wagner Moura, had to learn Spanish for the role. On some YouTube comments, I've read that his accent was bad. Since I don't speak Spanish, I couldn't tell anyhow so not a distraction for me.
