On the one hand, does Agents of SHIELD really need a spin-off? On the other hand, if it does, these two characters would be the only real choices. It sounds kinda like a spy version of ALIAS SMITH AND JONES.

I like these two characters a lot. I hope it will be more like Agent Carter than Agents of Shield, you know with good consistent writing. AoS has a few brilliant episodes but far too many missteps and many of those steps have been with that "Wart" character.

I liked Agents of Shield into the beginning ing of Season three but it just isn't as good with the Netflix shows and even Flash on The CW but I'd check this show out.
