I actually liked it. It was cool to see Cuba on as I am a fan.
The house reminds me of the first season, can't they turn on a damn lamp? And why do they only use 20 watt bulbs?
Very disappointed in the premiere. If it's going to be this back and forth story telling, I may tune out as well. I found it to be not scary at all. From what we got from all the previous seasons, where is the horror? The blood? The gore? The monsters? It needs to get better to keep the audience tuned in. Instead of it hailing teeth, i would have liked to see the promo monster on the tracks in one of the previews skipping thru the house, going down to the basement.
good god... it was just the first episode. You expect everything from the previews to be answered in the first episode?
I've never watched this show before but just watched episode 1 because it's set in North Carolina. It'll be interesting looking for all the inaccuracies. (Eastern North Carolina is flat--no big hills like they showed around the house; Raleigh is 3 hours from Roanoke Island, not 2; the confederate flag was on the South Carolina Capitol grounds, not North Carolina's--we're more famous for protecting the right to discriminate against LGBT people.)
The Lost Colony is a big deal in North Carolina history. I'll be watching to see how badly they botch it up, which they certainly will.
I noticed this too. Also, I could tell the show is shot in California because, in North Carolina and Virginia, the mountains and hills are more rounder from erosion and they have green vegetation on them.

I expected it to be as good as all the first episodes of each season, yes. What I do not like is the back and forth story telling. It's like watching Big brother, but with intelligent people with a brain.
And NO, I do not expect everything from the previews in the first episode. That would be too chaotic and not make sense. Do not suggest you know anything about what I want, because you do not. Now have a nice day.
I thought of that when I was watching it the other night too, Tom. Did Pepper die in one of the last couple of seasons?
Tam, I don't exactly know. I remember Meeps getting killed but don't recall Pepper.
I also would like to see that special needs girl and that big black girl from the witch season.
I know they said the cast was going to be much smaller this season. So maybe many of our favorites will not be returning. Looking forward to the show improving. It seems to be a totally different format from the usual blood/gore/sex/violence that always happened in beginning episodes of the past seasons.
