Being close to the (2+ hours) border with Vancouver, B.C., our cable provider gives us the CBC channel CBUT, and some of our favorite shows are on it. We have considered changing to dish or another service but none of the others have it, so we're stuck with Comcast.

Those that we watch regularly are:

REPUBLIC OF DOYLE was a fun popcorn show, even if the low budget was painfully obvious at times. But the characters were adorable, the scenery unfailingly beautiful, and the plots quirky and fun.

I watch "Murdoch Mysteries" on Ovation where they've titled it "The Artful Detective."

It does run several episodes behind the airings on CBC but I don't mind.

One of my absolute favorites.

We tried it once, and it actually had Murdoch on the episode. Yes, that scenery in the Maritimes is gorgeous, and I like his car (1968 GTO).

"Schitt's Creek" is one of my most favorite shows. It is carried in the states on Pop Network.

The Red Green Show use to be pretty funny when it was just Steve Smith and his nephew and an occasional goofy neighbor. But the later shows I've seen were mostly unfunny. Worth watching if they ever show the early shows anywhere.

My favorite is Heartland which UP use to carry but now they don't they brought it back at 7am weekdays for a bit but 3-4 seasons behind. Contacting CBC about when it will be available is no help nor when Netflix will be getting seasons 8-11.

Netflix loaded Schitt's Creek but I won't start a series without it being canceled if I can help it because Netflix is getting notorious about not uploading all seasons of series. It looks like something we'd enjoy though.
