Last night was the annual NBC special from Rockefeller Center for the Christmas Tree Lighting which was followed by a Christmas at Graceland Special; two hours and one hour respectively.
The Tree Lighting was decent but at two hours it was just too long; 90 minutes would've been fine. For sure it could've done without two cheesy numbers by Barry Manilow; just plain yucky.
The Elvis Christmas at Graceland special was just plain bizarre. Why on earth did they have John Legend play and sing "War Is Over" from the Beatles catalog.
Meanwhile, my wife found a YouTube hour-long Thanksgiving parade from Hollywood Blvd in L.A. that was fun. Shot at street level, no 3-minute ads for car insurance, diabetes drugs, lawyers, etc.
