Default The Rookie on tonight

I was a fan of Castle. So, nice to see Nathan Fillion back.

Anyone else watching The Rookie show tonight?

I used to be a huge NF fan. When Castle reached its prime, NF's ego inflated like the Goodyear blimp. It will take a lot to win me back.

You know that it was widely reported and pretty much confirmed that he wasnt the problem on the show, right?

As for the show, I am on the fence. It seemed like an hour of "here is why you rookies are stupid" and "here is why you shouldnt be a cop at your age". It also felt like a rehash of "Rookie Blue" except with a middle aged rookie

I found it okay; will watch a few more times before I decide whether to continue or not.

I watched it and felt that it could have been so much better.

If it continues in the same vein, with the constant demeaning "jokes" about his age, etc., I won't be watching.

This review sums up my feelings:

Whoever is writing for this show got his/her military/police rookie harassment mixed up. Military harassment is stronger and looks more like what the tv show puts out as police rookie.

I wasn't expecting three rookies, just like the 70's series. And I don't see how they will keep the one who won't engage and active shooter. The Watch Commander seems way over the line in his goal to drop the oldest rookie
