I saw one episode. There is no drama in those early questions, they might as well just skip to the $64,000 question. And I think they cherry pick the questions to play to the Celebs strengths. e.g. Jane Fonda knowing French.

The whole thing looks very staged , not just the easy questions or canned laughter I can see that , but the jokes are well timed between them , whole show well rehearsed ...fake! fake!

I watched it for the first time last night. What a terrible rendition of it! It stunk to high heaven! I turned it off after the SOS question.
