Anyone having issues getting HBO Max on their t.v.s? The app is not available on my Samsung Smart tv.
I bought the tv in 2016 and apparently, it is too old!! I can access HBO Max on my computer but since
it offers a lot of choices, it would be nice to watch some things on a bigger screen.

Not sure if it's even doable on a Fire Stick (which I was thinking of getting)...

I can get it on my Sony, but it's a 2018. I've heard people talk about sideloading it on Firesticks, but I have no idea what that means.

We watch it mostly on the PC or through our PS4. We have had A LOT of buffering issues the past couple of weeks. It still plays, but for the first 20 minutes or so of a show, it pauses to buffer about every 20 seconds. Really annoying.

Peacock and Hobomax wont work on my newish LG 50" set. My Guru says the Firestick will get whatever I need.
I can get IMDBTV on Amazon Prime now for those shows.

My daughter "side loaded" an HBOMax app on her Fire Stick and has been watching without issue since. I might be forced to do the same thing if Roku and HBO does not get their act together......

Im getting an Amazon Firestick. There will be more and more of these streaming channels. Theres no point in junking a nice 50" TV to see yet another app.

The PS4 app is a mess (and the interface sucks). I've had a lot of hangups and random crashes with it. That said, I havent used it in about 2 weeks so I am not sure if it has been updated.

I finally broke down and installed an HBOMax app on my Firestick. It turned out to be easy to do.

Thanks for that, I'll try it later. I was able to put the HBOMax app on my iPhone, I guess I can just hook up a HDMI/Apple cable to my TV as an input & stream it that way?
