Cause violence is good, wholesome entertainment, while nudity is evil.

You can make a restricted Netflix profile for kids.

And the rating (and usually the reason for the rating) is clearly displayed on every show. Sometimes it's even specific to the episode of the show.

I think at some point in the distant past when they were trying to add new series content and get ratings they decided that the way to separate them from network programming was to have adult content. It worked very well, but I do think now they have such a reputation for quality programming they do not need to add gratuitous sex when it’s not really adding anything to the programming. They just do it anyway. That’s fine as far as it goes but I feel they could make great television without it when it doesn’t really add to it and widen their audience a bit.

I’m not going to not watch it strictly because of that but if it is just too much I won’t watch. Lately they all have homosexual sex scenes, and I’m sorry but I just don’t care to watch that.

Fortunately you aren't the decider on this. I like to see programming that has some relationship to real life...including a bit of spice. I'm tired of the pablum on network television.

"homosexual sex scenes". I've yet to see that on any of the services.

The debate becomes at what point is it a sex scene. I could have sworn that some folks in India wanted Richard Gere charged with porn because he kissed a women introducing him on camera, on the cheek

Does showing a firefighter and cop on 911 Austin bumping into each other or a jail detainees mounting each other in the background of a Sons of Anarchy count? For some it does. And thus when a streaming service

I binge watched Six Feet Under during lockdown in March because I didn’t have cable when it came out and I heard good things. It started off pretty good but got increasingly annoying because all the characters were awful. That show had a lot of scenes like that with the guy who played Dexter and his boyfriend. At first it didn’t bother me but after a while it was just too damn much. I’m not into it. I don’t care if people are gay but I don’t want to watch it that much. I assume many gay men don’t want to watch straight sex either.

To he clear, I understand it’s not real sex just graphic sex scenes.
