So question #2: Are Netflix, Redbox, & all those services compatible w/ my gaming console?

TIA!
Didn't you already have a thread on this topic?

You can go to the streaming services website, and they'll have a list of devices that are compatible with their streaming service. You can also try downloading the app, and if it's not available, then it's most likely not available for your device.

You cannot get Redbox on an Xbox 360

Netflix is available through your Xbox 360

I have a Roku hooked up to each of my tvs. I have the cheapest one, probably payed about $20, and it works great. The only issue I've had is with HBO Max not being available through Roku, but now that it is I have no complaints.

I want to be able to watch stuff on my TV.

I am having problems understanding all of the options.

I am a basketball fan and have Comcast for internet and cable TV and cannot get broadcasts of NBA basketball games that include sound (because I am in a local blackout area). NBA League Pass does not even work for the blackouts.

Help!!!

Wish I knew for sure, but I assume so. Yes, I like watching on my TV & not sitting up at my desk to watch TV.

You just posted in your other thread about streaming services a few days ago. Yes, technology changes quickly, but not that quickly.

We are definitely getting back into having too many remotes...

Xfinity's Hulu doesn't allow me to watch premium add-ons like Starz, it doesn't have HBOMax
Samsung Smart TV is buggy when it comes to AmazonPrime Video and HBOMax and AMC+

I am constantly switching remotes.

Maybe it's time to fire up my little computer that I used to use for accessing all these streaming services and reconnect it to my TV.

Well, that's a little more specific about how people specifically watch movies. This thread's about comments/opinions about streaming services.

Two remotes:

One for the TV, one for the Roku.

I could just use the Roku remote if all I watched was streaming. It can turn the TV on/off, volume, mute, etc. But I also watch DirecTV, so I need the other remote to control the DVR.

Two remotes isn't bad. I could buy one of those fancy all-in-one remotes, but really, it's not that big a deal.

Yep, I don't care about 2 remotes either. I already kind of use 2: One for TV/cable & the other that controls my DVD player.

Thanks. I'll look at that brand too, but I tend to really like Samsungs.

Nope. Not even in the same game.

This is a gaming device, the newer ones can handle 4K online games. It's streaming abilities are about 2 on a one to ten scale.

Roku, Fire Stick, Apple TV... there are a lot of streaming devices. This ain't one.
