I like all the Progressive Insurance ‘ you’re becoming your parents’ commercials. I say to my husband, ‘ that’s you, that’s you’! Whenever they come on the TV.
The man is actor Andy North, and the two girls are his real life daughters (Georgie and Lana, IIRC) who were ages 6 and 16 when the commercial was filmed.
It got edged out for Commercial of the Year by that Chrysler commercial with the Eminem music.
This 2022 commercial, with a similar theme, is (IMO) in the top ten, and maybe in the top five:

Are you saying that your husband is like the 'coach'/author, or that he's someone who became or is becoming like his father ?
I do believe the insurance industry has the best slant on the humor. Subaru is cute and cuddly. My favorites are the Mayhem ones - I kept looking at the Mayhem actor, knowing I knew him from somewhere and then realized it was Cassidy from SVU. Now on SVU reruns, I see him as Mayhem. Not too many can pull off slapstick in that style, which makes it so good. Becoming your parents gets an honorable mention, especially when I see myself in some of those.....they make me cringe, laugh and then I stop doing that!
I've never eaten at a Golden Corral, but I've been liking their commercials. The disappointment and dismay of the dad whose family won't take advantage of the all-you-can-eat buffet cracks me up.
