I was watching Comedy Central the other day, and I watched "Mind of Mencia" and that Lisa Lampanelli special....wow....I seriously couldn't believe they were actually comedians! All they did was insult the crowd and make racist remarks, I wasn't offended but annoyed! First off Carlos Mencia basically tells a joke and if no one laughs he'll explain it by running around the stage like a retard till the audience finally feels sorry for him and starts laughing, than with Lisa Lampanelli, well she basically tells stories about sleeping with black guys and calling her self ugly.....I just can't believe America actually finds this stuff funny.
yea i saw the lisa lampanelli part and it was prettywell disgusting so after just a lil bit of it i was reaching for the remote, i can't really say on here what i thought of her lol.
carlos he's ok although i don't go along with his retard thing.
there's a guy that tours with the cable guy, allways smokes a cigar and has a drink in his hand, that guy i don't like at all, he's in the same boat as lampanelli, sinking.
mayby we should replace a few politicians with a few good comedians, that might be interesting.
I also watched that Lisa Lampanelli special...weird!
I was laughing my ass off just about every second, it was hilarious! Making fun of all the racial and religious groups, classic! I probably can't repeat a few of my favorites...
Her and Sarah Silverman are my favorite female comics.

That'd be Ron White and I love him! He tells a great story and I'm almost in tears from laughing so hard at the end. His cigar and a single malt scotch...
Ummmm... call me crazy, but I find both of them to be hilarious! I guess humor is subjective, huh? I am a sucker for ethnic humor and crass women, so I guess that's just my weird taste...

Another Dean Martin wannabe! He was the original - always surrounded by beautiful women, always smoking a cigarette, always had a drink in the other hand.

I'm sort of the opposite in that I generally don't like the comedians whose acts are mostly ethnic humor for whatever reason. I think Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock are okay but way overrated (Chappelle especially), and Carlos Mencia just isn't that funny to me. The same goes with Colin Quinn and Howard Stern (if he's considered a comedian). And I HATE Sarah Silverman with the white heat of a thousand suns.
Actually, come to think of it, a lot of the more mainstream comedians I really dislike, regardless of whether they're "race" comedians. I don't think Dane Cook is remotely funny and Larry the Cable Guy irritates me.
Has anyone seen my sense of humor? I seem to have lost it . I swear, I do laugh sometimes.

Yeah, sure ya do... Are you more of a Steven Wright & George Carlin kind of guy? For some reason, that strikes me as your "style" of humor. We all have a different idea of what's funny, as evidenced by this thread, and there's no way to explain it. I can't tell you WHY I think Carlos Mencia is hilarious, I just know that my sides & cheeks hurt after watching him... I also like Dave Chappelle & Chris Rock, but mainly for their acting (rather than their stand-up, which I agree is a bit one-note).
But my favorite stand-up comedians are George Carlin, Denis Leary, Bill Maher, Dennis Miller, Margaret Cho, Steven Wright, and John Pinette (check him out, he's a freakin' riot!). I also love most of the Saturday Night Live people, like Steve Martin, Eddie Murphy, Adam Sandler, Dana Carvey, John Belushi, etc. I guess my style could be described as dry-sarcastic.
