In the skit, "Republicans" were having a round table meeting about the bailout and how sitting back and doing "nothing" will make them look good so that they can pass the blame around when "things don't go well and we have a bad economy".

Then they started talking about impeaching Obama.

They finally settled on going after the real problems in the White House, the Obama girls.

They then showed a life sized poster of the girls looking sweet and adorable.

Granted, I was half watching, but the skit was hilarious.

I rarely watch it since the Adam Sandler days ... but SNL has never been shy about who they target, I can't imagine they would be now.

Yes it was hilarious when it started and I am an Ackroyd fan it was good to see him there ... but when they started on the Obama girls having sleep overs and wearing the carpet out with children all over the White House ... they could have left that out and the poster of the girls was beautiful ... but those kids will be living in a fishbowl anyway and there is no need to drag them out on SNL too.

Question What happened on SNL last night?

Was it just my cable system? We were watching and all of a sudden, less than half an hour into it, the picture froze and we could see no more. Did that happen to anyone else? We were wondering if there was some censorship going on.

Well, if you are anything like me and have TWC your cable probably just sucks. That kind of crap happens to me all the time. You can watch it here: Hulu - Saturday Night Live: Drew Barrymore - Watch the full episode now.

Default SNL - Insane Clown Posse sketch

I watched a good sketch on SNL making fun of ICP's latest video Miracles. It only got a few laughs which I believe is for two reasons:

1. The original video was pretty funny on its own.
2. Not enough people saw the original to understand what they were parodying.

Below are links to the ICP video and the SNL sketch. What do you think?

YouTube - Insane Clown Posse - Miracles

Hulu - Saturday Night Live: Outrageous Clown Squad (Kickspit Dirt Festival)

Not a Juggalo myself, but it was ok. I do like the show promoters (and Ass Dan), they have had skits before for "undereground" festivals.

Default SNL Season Opener

I was very disappointed in the SNL opener last Saturday. I can't recall laughing even once.
The writing appears to be at the fifth-grade level and its the unfunny fifth-grader.
Even Weekend Update was lame.
Sad, real sad...

Alec Bladwin hosted. No funny sketches at all. In fact it was quite painful to watch as I started watching with the old show in 1975. John Belushi would be spinning in that chair now...
