As long as they have a clue about what they're commenting about, I don't care. Not that I can even say that about all the male commentators.
Seriously, I don't care. I've actually covered the NFL from the pressbox, the sidelines etc. and I know that there are clueless people of both genders working around it. I don't need play-by-play and commentators to watch football. If it bothers you, hit mute.
I could not agree more. This is about two things: Political Correctness and second men who do not have the ability to step back and realize what these networks are doing.
In regards to the women's comments, sure having a women who is educated on the topic and has great presense should be given a opportunity but when the sport we will say pro and college football are 100 % male players and 50 to 60 % female commentators you would have to be an emasculated man or a feminist or a male who is flat out desperate to see a women to realize there is something wron with this imbalance.
I love Erin Andrews. Tafoya is very knowledgeable about her stuff. I wish Michelle Beadle would do some sideline stuff. I think she's hot as hell on Cowherd's new show.
I would guess that the sports networks know their fans are mostly men, so i see nothing wrong with having beautiful women doing the commentary to keep hooking men.
BTW, a few of my favorites are Jill Arrington, Cindy Brunson, and Rachel Nichols.
After looking at Rachel Nichols last week on ESPN Sports Reporters, she is not attractive. More like Average
I always found her annoying. When she first started out she would always sing off, "this is Rachel Nichols reporting for Espnnnn."
NY POST TV Critic makes fun of her often
