I love Shark Week on the Discovery Channel! Did anyone else watch the most recent one a couple of months ago with the "Air Jaws" show? It was about Great White sharks leaping out of the water (like dolphins/whales) to catch their seals. It was incredible!

Does anyone know when it's schedule to come back on and if it's just once a year or twice or what? I need to remember to DVR it!

Talk about an old thread!

I just wanted to say how much I've been enjoying this year's Shark Week. I don't think these scientists are going to achieve their goal though, making swimming in the ocean a truly safe experience for humans. We just are taking our chances when we enter the sharks world.

I must say good thing "ignorance is bliss" because I would never have been the beach and ocean baby I was as a younger person. I was blessed growing up at the beach and that would have been a bummer.

So interesting about the creatures that are in the shark family! The Frill shark? Looks like it came out of Hollyweird! Manta Rays are cousins? Huhn! The Greenland shark that has that parasite on its eye making them go blind? Poor things and to be trapped under 8' of ice all its life? And living 200 hundred years??? How do they know that? Must be guessing according to the shark's respiration. I hope they tagged some.

Another year down (almost). It was a good week.
